Federal grants are free money that you don’t repay. They are need-based and can help pay for college tuition and living expenses you incur.

How Do I Apply for a Federal Grant?

To find out if you're eligible for federal grants, complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), using Capella school code 032673.

Which Grants are Available?

Here are some federal grants that may be available to you. 

Federal Pell Grant
The Pell Grant, based on financial need, is awarded to eligible students in a bachelor's program. The maximum Pell Grant award changes annually.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
Awarded to Pell recipients who have demonstrated financial need based on the expected family contribution provided by completing the FAFSA.
